Powered by a 250kW twin-scroll turbo 3.0-litre straight six, the GR Supra will be offered in two grades - GT and GTS - with the top-of-the-range model priced from $94,9001.

Due to unprecedented demand for the reborn Supra and the limited volumes available, Toyota has developed a new online sales process to both ensure a fair allocation of vehicles and give customers a unique experience.

Toyota Vice President Sales and Marketing, Sean Hanley said Toyota was delighted it could offer the Supra, with its very high level of performance specification, at a sub-$100,000 RRP price point.

"The GR Supra should be compared with vehicles in a much higher price bracket including top-end European sports coupes - it really is that good," Mr Hanley said.

"I am certain anyone who experiences it will appreciate the engineering, passion and precision that has gone into building what we believe is one of the best value, most engaging drivers' cars on sale in the world today.

"With such sharp pricing and only approximately 300 cars available in the first 12 months, we have also developed a new online sales process to ensure a fair allocation of vehicles and provide customers with an exclusive experience.

"The Supra is one of the most exciting cars we've had in our lineup for more than 20 years, and the anticipation and excitement from fans has been unprecedented with thousands of registrations of interest.

"The new centralised online sales process handled by a dedicated Supra concierge will ensure we keep customers updated at every step of the way and provide a bespoke and very personal experience, which is fitting for a vehicle of the Supra's calibre," he said.

All orders for the new GR Supra will go through the centralised order process with sales management and deliveries handled by Toyota's extensive dealer network.

Customers will be able to log on to a dedicated website on 19 June at 12:00 noon AEST, to participate in the first round of vehicle reservations. This window will remain open until approximately 100 reservations are confirmed.

For all information on how to reserve a car, the sales process and other details, customers can visit toyota.com.au/all-new-supra

The online reservation website will use a randomised balloting process to allocate the first 100 reservations and these lucky few will then go on to complete the full registration process.

Successful customers can expect to receive confirmation of their reservation within 24 hours before receiving a phone call from Toyota's dedicated Supra concierge. They will then be guided by the concierge throughout the purchase process.

Those who miss out in the first round, will receive information about timing for future reservation windows when they are determined. Multiple rounds are planned within the first year, timed to align with further availability of cars.

Customers will also be able to opt out at any stage prior to delivery.

As Toyota's new performance car hero, the Supra arrives with a long list of standard comfort, convenience and safety features and a vast array of performance hardware to deliver an outstanding driving experience.

Both GT and GTS models are powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-scroll turbocharged, straight six-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 250kW and peak torque of 500Nm.

Drive to the rear wheels is through a new quick-shifting, sports-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission with a launch control function that enables a 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.4 seconds.

To deliver outstanding handling and agile, dynamic driving characteristics, the GR Supra is fitted standard with an active limited slip differential and adaptive suspension.

A full suite of Toyota Safety Sense driver assistance features includes active cruise control (ACC), pre-collision safety system with pedestrian and cyclist detection (PCS), lane departure alert, auto high beam and traffic sign recognition.

Additional safety features include seven airbags, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, rear view camera, front clearance and rear parking sensors and tyre pressure monitor.

Befitting its premium status, the GR Supra's interior is finished in fine materials with a long list of standard features including dual zone climate control; keyless smart entry and start; heated, eight-way electrically adjustable leather-accented sports seats with power lumbar support; electrochromatic rear view mirror; and a wireless phone charger2.

Furthering its stylish exterior design are LED lights, electric heated and folding mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels.

A step up into the GTS variant adds high performance sports brakes, head-up display, premium JBL®3 audio system with 12 speakers and larger 19-inch alloy wheels.

The GR Supra GTS is also available with two exclusive options - Alcantara interior trim and upholstery and a matte grey paint - each priced at $25001.

The new Supra will be available in a choice of seven standard colours4 plus the matte grey for the GTS.

Given the car's racing potential, Toyota Australia employees were invited to participate in the naming of the colours based on iconic racetracks around the world.

The final selection were Fuji White, Suzuka Silver, Goodwood Grey, Monza Red, Silverstone Yellow, Le Mans Blue and our own Bathurst Black.

The exclusive GTS matte paint drew the name Nurburg Matte Grey and was colour of the choice for the record breaking Supra auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson charity auction earlier this year in January.
